TERMS OF
SERVICE

Vessel Taxi LLC — Last updated: May 6, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ride-matching service operated by Vessel Taxi LLC (“Vessel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and your access to our website at vesselrides.co. By using our service or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

Vessel is a phone-based ride-matching service. We connect riders who need transportation with local independent driver contractors who are willing to provide rides. Riders request rides by calling or texting Vessel. We coordinate the search, contact available drivers, confirm the booking, and communicate pricing to riders upfront.

Vessel is not a transportation provider. We do not own vehicles or employ drivers. All drivers who fulfill rides through Vessel are independent contractors. The contract for transportation is between you and the driver directly.

Vessel is not a payment processor. Riders pay drivers directly — cash or check — after the ride is complete. Vessel collects a per-ride service fee from drivers separately. We never handle funds between riders and drivers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Vessel as a rider or driver. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Rider Responsibilities

As a rider, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate pickup location, destination, and contact information when requesting a ride
  • Be ready at your pickup location at the agreed time
  • Pay the driver directly in the agreed amount (cash or check) upon completion of the ride
  • Treat drivers with respect and comply with any reasonable requests they make regarding their vehicle
  • Not request rides for illegal purposes

4. Driver Responsibilities

Drivers who receive ride opportunities through Vessel agree to:

  • Maintain a valid driver's license and all required insurance coverage for for-hire driving
  • Operate a safe, roadworthy vehicle
  • Honor confirmed ride commitments
  • Treat riders with respect and professionalism
  • Comply with all applicable traffic laws
  • Pay Vessel the applicable service fee per completed ride as invoiced

Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Vessel. Vessel does not control the manner in which drivers perform rides, set driver schedules, or require exclusivity.

5. Pricing and Payment

Vessel publishes a pricing structure on its website. The quoted price for a ride is based on this structure and is communicated to the rider before the ride is confirmed. Riders pay the quoted amount directly to the driver after the ride.

Vessel reserves the right to update its pricing structure at any time. Changes take effect for new ride requests placed after the update is published.

Vessel invoices drivers monthly for service fees owed on completed rides. Disputes regarding invoicing should be directed to founder@vesselrides.co.

6. No Warranty on Driver Availability

Vessel makes no guarantee that a driver will be available for any given ride request. Driver availability depends on the local pool of drivers and timing. We will make reasonable efforts to find a match, but we cannot promise availability at all times or in all locations.

Vessel is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or failure to fulfill a ride caused by driver unavailability, weather, road conditions, or circumstances outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vessel's liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the service fees, if any, paid by you to Vessel in the 30 days preceding the claim. Vessel is not liable for damages arising from the conduct of drivers, rider cancellations, vehicle conditions, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Because drivers are independent contractors, Vessel is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur during rides. Riders and drivers should resolve disputes directly and, where appropriate, through insurance.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Vessel to:

  • Request transportation for illegal purposes
  • Harass, threaten, or harm drivers or other users
  • Provide false information to obtain rides
  • Circumvent the service fee owed to Vessel by drivers
  • Use automated systems to interact with the service without our consent

9. Intellectual Property

All content on vesselrides.co — including the Vessel name, logo, brand materials, and written content — is owned by Vessel Taxi LLC and may not be reproduced without written permission.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via the contact information we have on file.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Elkhart County, Indiana.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
